Let's Get An Understanding
With the various happenings throughout the world, the soothing sound of music has been bringing peace of mind and delivering positive, uplifting messages we can all use. This is the type of message Wilson delivered in the 1968 version of Let's Get An Understanding. With the song recently reimagined by the phenomenally talented Jalise Wilson, it was wonderful to welcome a dynamic group of dancers, led by renowned choreographer Christopher L. Huggins, to develop a visual work set to Let's Get An Understanding earlier this fall.
Christopher Huggins 2021 Guggenheim Fellowship Award Winner, has choreographed for Alvin Ailey and Philadanco.
