Dathan Thigpen, a gospel singer and recording artist, has been a prominent artist with the Wilson Pickett Legacy for many years. Most recently, he showcased his talents in the stage reading of In the Midnight Hour, where he portrayed the legendary, "wicked" Wilson Pickett. Dathan continues to make his mark in the music industry, performing nationally and internationally. We are incredibly proud of his achievements and ongoing endeavors.
Multi-talented, award-winning, and inspirational, Dathan Thigpen continues to share his gifts.
Dathan traveled to Kraków, Poland in 2023 for his third live music recording. Choirs from all over Poland formed the 300-piece choir, many whom didn't speak English, singing American gospel music. Dathan says, "It was particularly special to have my two sons performing with me on a song and to have my mother conduct a song as well." It is scheduled to be released sometime next year.

Dathan is headed to Ambilly, France for a mission trip of sorts. He is connected with KBM, a ministry that has now established ministry schools and churches all over America and is now training and doing ministry worldwide with churches throughout Europe and Africa. Dathan travels with KBM sharing his gift of music and has already been to Kraków, Bulgaria, Greece, and Paris with this organization. He is excited and looking forward to his experience in Ambilly.
